Savitri Pal was a prominent female printmaker in India, renowned for her ability to capture and express human emotions through her art. Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the College of Arts & Crafts in Lucknow and a Master of Fine Arts from the Faculty of Visual Arts at Banaras Hindu University, she also received scholarships and fellowships from the U.P. State L.K.A. and the Cultural Department of U.P., which further enriched her creative practice.

Her works have the essence of karuna, reflecting both the beauty of human emotions and the struggles and resilience of women in contemporary society.
 Through her masterful etchings, Pal placed significant emphasis on the female experience, often portraying women in pivotal roles. Her art addresses contemporary women’s conditions and achievements while highlighting their growing power within social, cultural, and community contexts.
